Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/23/2007

Number: 1

It was a beautiful fall afternoon, about 70 degrees with the wind from the east. My husband was sailing, and I was sitting on our dock at Wolf Lake. He came by to tell me that he was seeing many monarchs, all following the same path. I used the binoculars, and it was unbelievable. We saw 160 monarchs, flying in a southwesterly direction, more or less in single file, in just one hour!!!!!!!!!!
