Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/29/2007

Number: 1

With this incredible warm spell that we are having, it is in the 80s today, I have been watching a female today reloading the milkweed with eggs. But, along with the Monarchs their predators continue too, flies, wasp, etc.
And, the aphids are having a heyday. My finger tips are yellow from squishing them. I found that if you wash the aphids off, they climb back up.

Besides the eggs, I found two more larvae 3rd and 4th instar and one chrysalis.
