Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/30/2007

Number: 1

Apparently the Monarch's migratory path crossed Interstate I-40 in the Texas Panhandle going into Erick, OK crossed yesterday at about 1:00 pm(9/30/07). I saw them at the rate of about 10 per second -- seemingly flinging themselves down from the sky. I am sure 9-11 received several reports of a drunk driver heading west from Texas toward Oklahoma City -- it was me swerving the best I could at 70 mph to miss them! Erick is west central Oklahoma
