Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/04/2007

Number: 2000

I was amazed to find hundreds, possibly thousands, of beautiful Monarch butterflies in my back yard! They look like dead leaves on the trees at first glance, but when they fly, it is just awesome! I first noticed them on 10/04/07. As of 10/08/07, they are still there.

Editor’s Note: We are estimating a minimum of 2000 monarchs based on observer’s estimate of “thousands.”
