Our science class is studying the order Lepidoptera. While we studied the migration of the Monarch butterfly, we decided to participate in the symbolic migration. The children each designed their butterflies and had their name and state. Some of the older children put messages on their butterflies thanking the Mexican children for caring for the monarchs.Gracias por cuidar a las mariposas monarcas este invierno, de parte de sus vecinos del norte. El nombre de mi escuela es Cornerstone Academy de Eastside Praise.

We are looking forward to seeing the butterflies that migrate north next Spring.
