Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/09/2007

Number: 1

Very windy here- the temp. has dropped to 50-60's compared to the 80's we have had. We saw five monarchs, they went down the hill near our house - where there is less wind for protection and good wildflowers. The sky at 4:30 pm was in a frenzy, there were many species of hawks all different sizes, dragonflies, robins, and flocks of geese. One group geese were headed south, they turned back to the north. Maybe some kind of insect was blown off course and became chow.
