We studied the life cycle of monarch caterpillars. Then we were able to find some monarch caterpillars from a field of milkweeds and we watched them change into beautiful butterflies. Then we let them go so they could make their journey south. Finally, we decorated our own paper butterflies. We introduced ourselves and wished our northern monarchs a good flight south to where they would be greeted and cared for by our friends in Mexico. Thank you so much for taking care of our butterfly friends!
