Symbolic Monarchs (Sent)

Date: 10/11/2007

Number: 1

Our class is very excited about the monarch migration. We pride ourselves in being 'field scientists' this year. This means, we're out in the field, observing, collecting, analyzing, & reporting. When we heard about Journey South, we were very excited and began our own monarch watch. We have a small garden at our school and are making plans to expand it to attract more butterflies. We're looking for migrating monarchs at home as well as at school and very much enjoy watching the migration updates on Journey South. Our symbolic monarchs have been made and now we are anxiously awaiting spring for their return! We really appreciate the students in Mexico who will take care of them & send them migrating North this Spring. Have fun observing, everyone!
