Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/13/2007

Number: 1

We woke up to find that our butterfly had emerged from its chrysalis. We immediately took it outside and released him from the pavilion. We did this beside some watermelon rinds we had left out for butterflies. The monarch fed and sunned itself on the rinds for 3-4 hours before flying off. It was about eighty five degrees, sunny, very light breeze.
