Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/16/2007

Number: 1

Wow! What a beautiful surprise! A big, beautiful(nearly the size of a goldfinch)female at the front feeder...always the most frequented one in the yard...this afternoon.

I haven't seen any hummers for more than two weeks now, but left the feeders up like I always do every Fall anyway, just in case some "stragglers" pass through - and the honeybees like the sugary treat, too.

I'm so glad I did!!!!

Autumn colors and consistently cooler temps are later this year, too; good deal - that keeps winter at bay a little longer.

Last time I had a hummer sighting this late was 10/13/03...safe journey, beauty, and see you Spring 08!
