Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/16/2007

Number: 1

In the last 2 hours I've seen probably 200 monarchs. No group larger than 5, all flying within 8-10 feet of the ground flying south - southwest. Just a long steady stream of individual butterflies. Quite a few stopped for just a few minutes in the tree line out of the wind.

I'll be checking this evening for a roost.
