Signs of Fall

Date: 10/17/2007

Number: 1

Bluejays are at feeders in large numbers. Snow buntings have arrived. Absent for many days now are most of the chipmunks that spent the summer around the yard for most of the day.
The grass is still very green and growing. Unusual for our area in the North.
The other day a 'late' rose blossomed in a neigbour yard.
The aplle tree has lots of green leaves on it yet but most of the poplars are yellow/orange.
