I watched for 1/2 hour (from 1pm to 1:30PM) at Bayfront Park in Alabama Port at the Gulf Coast. Butterflies were flying by, all the time, constantly. I counted 56 monarch Butterflies per minute flying south. Many stopped to feed on Golden Rod and other flowers. The weather was sunny and the wind helped to push the butterflies forward.
