A friend saw what must certainly be the last Monarch to start migrating from Wisconsin. Saturday afternoon, he caught a male monarch and then released it just north of Highway 8 near Turtle Lake. We haven't had any new hatches (that I've seen) for a month. Amazingly late...........
It'll be a miracle if he makes it to Mexico. Guess it's never too late to leave this frozen tundra country of northern Wisconsin!
