Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/23/2007

Number: 1

Had 65 Monarchs pass by a stationary viewing point in 15 minutes on my ranch in Center Point. Winds were still from the North, but much lighter than yesterdays gale force winds. Looked like many were lifting off from

my big Live Oaks. The temps fell into the high 30's last night after the winds subsided and there was frost on the ground. The numbers fell off fairly quickly so I was either at the end of their passing or it was a small flight.
