Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/25/2007

Number: 1

I witnessed the most incredible sight this morning and it has continued all day long. I live on the island of Galveston just a few hundred feet from the water. When I went out on the deck this morning I noticed one butterfly, then another and another. Then I began to take in the magnitude of what I was seeing. There were hundreds of butterflies. To the east, west, toward the water, behind me, toward the bay. It is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. I called everyone I could think of and then after three hours, I was finally able to tear myself away long enough to find this site on the internet. How long will it last?
