Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/26/2007

Number: 1

Got a return call from Petra saying there are "even more monarchs today"
than there were yesterday at Port O'Connor, TX.

15/minute through her backyard, but more are flying "really high".

If she looks through her spotting scope out over the bay, there are too many to count. Today's air is dry with no heat waves.

She said it was like the "flood gates had opened." She even go goose bumps looking at them this morning.

Everyone in town is talking about them.

She said it was the most she remembers seeing along the coast in her 15 years of living in Port O'Connor.
