My 8th year planting Red Emperors for Journey North! Microclimate Experiment: I planted in 3 locations (south facing, north facing, and west facing). I will record temperatures to see if location will affect emergence dates. Last year they emerged April 13. I predict it will be earlier in 2008. We have heard predictions that it will be a warmer than average winter in Minnesota.
