Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/26/2007

Number: 1

After a monarch caterpillar sighting on Oct. 24, a new monarch chrysalis was found on a yellow wingstem plant only 2 feet away from where the caterpillar had been sighted. Our weather has been warmer than usual, but is not cooling down. We are watching to see what will happen with the chrysalis. Although there are still plenty of other butterflies flying here now, we have not seen any adult monarchs for about 2 weeks.
