With the weak cold front and NE winds overnight, today was a �big day� for tagging at St. Marks, and we mobilized our volunteer tagging crew. I haven�t tallied the total number counted on early-morning roosts yet, but we tagged and released for parts unknown 912 monarchs sporting blue-colored tags. Hundreds more untagged monarchs were seen moving through the refuge by noon.
