Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/16/2007

Number: 1

First of all it was without a doubt the most beautiful thing I ever witnessed. At approximately 3:30 pm the first of the beautiful monarchs approached the 53rd Street beach at Ocean City, New Jersey. Initially, they came by the 2's and 4's and then they came by the hundreds and I don't think I'd be wrong by saying the thousands! You couldn't see them in the distance. It wasn't until they were shore line that they became visible heading toward the bay. It was a spiritual sight I will never forget. My thanks to the monarchs.
