We planted almost 80 tulips today. The control garden had 27 bulbs which followed all the controls listed for the experiment. We also planted 27 tulips in an experimental garden with some 9 inches deep, some 4 inches deep, and some upside down. There were other bulbs planted next to the school building, some on a north facing slope, and some on a south facing slope. The temperature was 45 degrees with lots of sunshine. The soil is dry since we have had a dry fall.
