On November 7, 2007 the first graders (1M) at the E. Hartford-Glastonbury Magnet School planted Red Emperor Tulip bulbs in the soil next to our school, just outside the science lab and the Japanese room. Some people planted right next to the building while others planted about six to ten inches from the building. We planted our bulbs seven inches deep. The temperature outside is 47 degrees. The sky is cloudy and it was windy (3 to 11mph). We are wondering why there are so many worms in our garden? We are also wondering how fast they will grow? We wonder when we will see the first leaves? We wonder when our bulb will have a flower?
We say "HI!" to other children! We have questions for you:
-Where did you plant your bulbs?
-Did your bulbs grow yet?
-When did you plant your bulbs?
-How many inches did you dig down?
-What state did you plant your bulbs?
-Did your flowers come out yet?
-Did you get dirty when you planted your bulbs? (We did!)
Please email us! We will write back
