The Virginia Living Museum's Fox Patrol Class of 2nd & 3rd grade students planted their REd Emperor tulips in the museum's Children's Learning Garden today. These tulips were planted in the same bed as all previous years, but a small tree that had shared the bed with them was removed this spring. We will see how this affects emergence and bloom times. The Garden began with Journey North tulips planted in fall 1998.
