The Virginia Living Museum's Raccoon Patrol Class of 1st grade students planted their REd Emperor tulips in the museum's Children's Learning Garden today. The tulips were planted in the same bed as previous tulips, but the small magnolia tree that previously shared the bed with the tulips was removed this sprin. We await to see the effect of the extra light on the emergence and bloom times. The Children's Learning Garden began with Journey North tulips planted in fall 1998.
