Signs of Fall

Date: 12/30/2007

Number: 1

We are new residents to Placentia, California, USA for 2 years. The first 2 springs and summers we observed both male and female "Hooded Orioles", mature breeding birds, at our Oriole feeders. They were eating both sugar nector and "Boyensberry preserves". We had at least 10 sightings per day of each pair from April to August. In November two immature Hooded Orioles began again on the Oriole feeder on a regular basis. They have been here faithfully each day for the months of Nov. and Dec. We have no idea how long we will be able to observe the your pair.
