On the last forecast "warm" day before a big fall frost our grade 5 class dug and planted our bulbs. Then we escorted our grade one book buddies out to the planting beds to help them plant bulbs as well. We explained to them how to dig and measure the depth of the hole and how to place the bulb so the roots would grow. We were just in time - the next day the temperature dropped and the bulbs were sealed for the winter!!
