Bald Eagle

Date: 01/12/2008

Number: 1

The last report was from Homer, NE; this one is from Homer, AK. There seem to more Bald Eagles than usual this year flying around and sitting perched on the tops of spruce trees. We haven't noticed any obvious mating behavior yet, but they are calling a lot. This morning's paper has a picture and story about 20 eagles that got caught in a mess of goo from a fish processing plant; some were saved, but most died. You can find the article at http//www.adn.com. Obviously, we have a lot of them around here.
