One mile south of Defiance corporation limit on St rt 111 overlooking Auglaize River. Sighted female (six yr) on nest preparing for the new year, The male ( six yr) perched nearby watching the area.

At east end of Defiance County on St rt 424 overlooking Maumee River. Sighted female (10 yr) perched near nest. Have observed female since adulthood. This female has built new nest three miles up rive since old one blew down, killing young. This female has acquired new mate two years ago. Orignal mate disappeared three years ago. New male mate appears to be approximately six years old.
