Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 01/17/2008

Number: 1

The unmistakable call of a robin was heard coming from our back yard at 8:10 this overcast winter morning! Never before have we heard this so early in the year. The only call we heard was the "peek" and "tut"call. This alarm call could be attributed to the various hawks who frequent this neighbourhood. The weather at the time was overcast with a temperature in the 20's F. There was no snow on the ground however temperatures are forecasted to be the coldest of the season with this Sunday's forecasted high at 15 degrees F & an over night low of 0 degrees F!

Just last week the anchorman for the Windsor news said a coworker had called him at the tv station to report that one was seen in the coworkers backyard. Maybe this was the same robin? Windsor is 50 miles west of here across the river from Detroit, Michigan.
