Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 01/01/2008

Number: 1

I have been feeding two robins wintering in my neighbourhood this year.

To entice them to the feeding station, I purchased some live night crawlers at our local ice fishing store and put them out, one at a time, in the food bowl along with some dried cranberries (Brand Name Craisins) and some chopped apple.

The robins come every day now to the food bowl -- for craisins only. They sometimes come when I call them (Red and Rudy!).

I also have a bird bath in the yard which I keep filled and ice free with a bird bath heater.

The birds are a real treat. Red responds by either chirping or flying over when I call his name.
