At a major city street corner I encountered a huge flock of robins, the first I had seen since they left in fall; there were more than 100. Two days later, at my school where I teach, there was an even bigger flock and they were frantically munching the berries on our holly bushes, as fast as their little mouths could. We had some warm days, but also several days after the first flock such severe cold and high winds and snow that a school delay was called. I did not see them the day after the 2nd flock came.
