Savannah, a student in our class tapped her family trees on this date. Other students in our class, Katrina, Tabitha, started tapping last week, January 31st. Maple sugar production is big in our area of Virginia and many of us tap trees for home or sale. Our county is celebrating its fiftieth Maple Festival this year. Come join us on March 8,9,15 and 16.
