Saw a lone, very plump, American Robin rooting through the leaf-litter on my patio this afternoon. It then took a few sips from the birdbath before flying off. While not my first robin sighting of the winter, it was the first one I've seen visit my patio. It was an interesting juxtaposition of species as it was accompanied by a half-dozen or so Dark-eyed Juncos, not often seen in combination (at least by me)!
