We observed killdeer in our developemnt yesterday for the first time, we observed two female bluebirds fighting for about 50 minutes today in the garden area, presumably over a nesting box, the male tried to intervene, a mockingbord tried the same but to no avail. They also seemed pblivous to our presence as they fought. The triumphant pair seem to have identifeid their box and were seen all during the day. Previously they have been seen only in the am.
