Redeemer Lutheran School is a Monarch Larval Station and a Schoolyard Habitat certified by the National Wildlife Federation. Milkweed grows in our "Land Down Under" - our rainwater retention pond which has been transformed into a wildflower wetscape, and in various gardens and nature areas on our playgrounds. The milkweed never completely dies, and we have had many overwintering Monarchs and larva all through the winter season.
