Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/17/2008

Number: 1

I saw 6 robins under our oak tree on Sunday, Feb. 17. They were all looking for food and pecking on the small patch of lawn in our backyard. We have nearly an acre of land in a wooded subdivision. Most of the area is covered with about 6” of snow. The area I spotted them was swept clean of snow from winds we had earlier. The robins were pecking the frozen ground looking for food or whatever they could find. It was in the upper 40’s yesterday, but back to 15 degrees today and will be cold most of this week. So, poor things, what will they do for food?

I’ve never seen robins around here so early in Feb.
