Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/16/2008

Number: 1

On each of the last several days, flocks of about a dozen robins have come into our yard to eat our beautyberries. This is a wonderful native shrub here in Florida, spread by birds, and it has clusters of beautiful bright purple berries from early fall. Our beautyberry bushes feed waves of migrating and native birds--catbirds, vireos, thrashers, robins, grosbeaks, tanagers, cardinals and many others.
