Bald Eagle

Date: 02/27/2008

Number: 1

In two hour's observation today, six eagles came to feed on the roadkill deer on Lake Simond. Four mature birds, two banded both NY and Federal (N 47 and the other unreadable on account of snow), two adult bareleggers and two immatures came in. Five birds on the ice at once made for very interesting viewing. I believe the migration has begun.
