Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 02/01/2008

Number: 1

one Barn Swallow over the slough and north of Ward Blvd. Yesterday, there were about 10 Barn Swallows with the White-throated Swifts over Area K and other basins just north of there. My feeling is that the swallows are best considered overwintering birds rather than early migrants.
