The passage of a cold front, like yesterday's, often moves me to Viera Wetlands to see what change in bird life might have occurred. Such was the case this morning (February 28), and I was greeted by a season-first Barn Swallow among a small flock of Tree Swallows coursing the cells. It is not TOO early, but certainly on the front side of this species' migration northward.
