All Other Signs of Spring

For me this was a neat one...stopping at Huguenot Memorial Park right after my friend picked me up from the airport, I saw that the Laughing Gulls' black hoods were almost completely filled in (which will be solid-black during the breeding season), and that the Forster's Terns' black-caps were filling in as well, in addition to their bills turning orange at the base. (I almost didn't recognize the latter at first as I'm not accustomed to seeing them in their breeding plumage...normally I only see them in Florida in late November.)
