We are so excited! We observed 49 tulips plants coming up out of the soil. The tallest one is 3 inches. Most of them are between 1 incn and 2 inches tall. We have been waiting eagerly since we noticed that other gardens in our area of the country have already reported tulips emerged. Our winter has been cold but not much snow.. Some ice the last few weeks. Our tulips are reddish purple and the taller ones show some green. We predict they will be about 4 inches tall next week.
