Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/04/2008

Number: 1

Here in Albany, NY (actually Loudonville), first migration sighting is very difficult because of the large number of winter robins staying here. They move about in groups of often 30 or more. They move from house to house eating holly berries. I have pictures of robins in my holly bushes eating berries during a snowstorm.

As of March 4 I have seen several flocks on bare lawn spots. But no songs yet. Yesterday I did hear my first cardinal spring song. Have also hears titmice and blue birds.
