Our first sap run at our school was today, March 6th, 2008. Last week, I tied a yellow string onto our sugar maple to mark the spot on on the pruned branch where sap would flow. The sap began to leak out of the pruned branch and down the string where it formed a very interesting dangling T-shaped sapsicle!
