I go out to the mail box every morning to get the newspaper. This morning when I went out to get the paper I heard two robins singing. They were at least 100 feet apart and were at least 100 feet from me. I don't think either of them could have seen me from where they were as one was on the other side of a house and the other was on the other side of a thick evergreen tree wind break. I am pretty confident they were both singing the territorial song.
The temperature this morning was 28 degrees (just east of Council Bluffs, IA) and the sun was coming up to partly cloudy skies. The wind was negligible.
