Spring has finally arrived. The class found 11 beautiful, red shoots emerged. They were about an inch above the ground. They haven't been out long, since the snow has just receded from the area. We were so excited!
We did record in December where we found several holes where the bulbs were located. We found deer tracks all around and surmised that the bulbs had been eaten. Those sites do not have bulbs as of yet.
