This is year three of our tulip project. The weather on the east coast, especially, in NJ, has been crazy this year. It has gotten all of the flowers, trees and birds confused. My first and second year tulip beds began to emerge sometime in January. Then we had several small and one large snowfall. It was also hot and cold during this period. On February 25th, we spotted the first emergance of our new tulip bed. My crossing guard keeps close watch on the development of our tulips.
The older plants remained small until this past weekend when their growth was about three inches.
The weather has turned cold again. We will keep tract of what happens next.
