One lonely tulip bloomed this week in our schoolyard garden. We think it might have gotten a headstart because it emerged closest to the sidewalk (just two feet away). Since the sidewalk heats up during the day, that may have been enough to skew that nearby bulb into thinking it is spring. None of the other bulbs have sent up a bud yet. Our 4-H Early Birds and 4-H Schoolyard Scouts will keep watching for them!
