I enjoy this site to watch the migration of both the robin and humming bird, but, its hard for me to tell when robins first enter my area for, I have robins here all winter long, feeding on crab apples. Doing some research at neighboring bird stores, I found that the robins here during the winter, are from further north, and Dublin is as far as they fly south, to spend the winter. So..that being said...I dont know which is which, they dont seem to lose any color, so I dont know when the current ones head back north, or when the new ones show up from the south. None the less...its nice to have them around all year long, though they sure do make a mess on my sidewalk with all the half eaten crab apples.
